And in a world best by multiple - and overlapping - challenges, we stand ready to support SIDS in all of our areas of expertise.
And four new agreements cover the construction of more than 330000 affordable homes in Ghana, Kenya, India and across the Caribbean. Developing economies in particular, need large-scale investments in sustainable infrastructure. Our initiative is about accelerating investment in infrastructure.

Since we last spoke, the pandemic has entered a new phase. As stated by my counterpart in WHO, this is no time for complacency. Across the world, UNOPS agreed more than 110 projects in over 80 countries to support member states and other partners in their COVID-19 response efforts.
And in 2021, the 92 countries that constitute the LDCs, landlocked developing countries (LLDC) and small island developing states (SIDS) received less than a third of total global financial flows in support of clean energy. For vulnerable countries, the focus needs to shift towards energy access and climate adaptation.
The South-South cooperation model represents a powerful framework that has repeatedly shown the impact of developing nations working together to achieve sustainable development. Today, this model takes on even greater urgency. At UNOPS, we are fully committed to supporting south-south cooperation.
